Barrier Free Access (HK) Limited (BFAHK) was established in 2011 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Society for the Blind. With the vision of “Equality for all with Barrier Free Access”, BFAHK is committed to building an accessible and inclusive community in order to facilitate independence travel of people with visual impairment. We provide barrier free access consultancy services and supply of braille and tactile products, Web/Mobile App accessibility testing services, adaptive equipment for visually impaired, low vision devices and organize public education events to enhance public awareness towards barrier free facilities for better social inclusion of the visually impaired.
Products and Services
Our services:
1.One-stop service of Barrier Free Access facilities, including design and supply of tactile map, guide path and braille signage.
2.UV printing services to produce customized products for customers.
3.Web and mobile application accessibility testing services
4.The sale of assistive equipment for people with visual impairment, including video magnifiers, braille devices, computer software, text-to-speech devices and daily living aids.
5.The sale of low vision devices, including visual assessment equipment and optical devices
6.Organize public education events and experiential workshops, including communication skills with the visually impaired, sighted guide training, Braille production, inclusive board games, etc.
