- "Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities Through Small Enterprise" Project
Since 2015, Po Leung Kuk has been developing "Delish Soft Meal", a soft meal that restores pasty food to its original form, so that people with swallowing difficulties can enjoy food that is full of colour, aroma, flavour and nutrients. To further promote the "Delish Soft Meal" to the community and let more people benefit from it, Po Leung Kuk has set up a "Delish Kitchen" in Chai Wan, where the chef collaborates with a speech therapist and a dietitian to prepare the "Delish Soft Meal" every day, to ensure that the users can enjoy a nutritious meal with peace of mind. The kitchen also employs people with disabilities and provides them with on-the-job training to help them adapt to society.
Products and Services
"Delish One Kitchen" prepares the "Delish Soft Meal" lunch boxes freshly every day, with the required amount of ingredients and seasonings, and the texture of the food conforms to the International Dietary Standards for Dysphagia (IDDSI) Levels IV-V. The lunch boxes have a larger amount of vegetables than regular lunch boxes. The lunch box contains more vegetables for better nutritional balance. After cooking, the chef will seal the takeaway lunch box and put it into a thermos box. Apart from soft meals, the kitchen also prepares regular lunch boxes and festive food such as poon Choi, mooncakes, rice dumplings, etc., so that people with dysphagia can share the delicious food and taste with their family members at the same time.
