ELCHK Grace Youth Camp is a Grade III historic building complex that offers the public a meaningful living exploration experience. It aims to jointly preserve the unique iron mining, religious, and mining village history of Ma On Shan, allowing visitors to appreciate the value of nature in the area. Through storytelling and exploration, the center conveys the social significance and values behind the Ma On Shan mining village, educating the next generation. Additionally, through community care and connective initiatives, it promotes sustainable development between urban and rural areas.
Products and Services
ELCHK Grace Youth Camp also is the first venue in Hong Kong to offer the concept of "Mountain Hut" services. It provides themed experiences, camping activities with accommodation, conservation-themed workshops, and diverse mining village experiences, such as coffee brewing in mine and sharing of mining village's food preparation. The center primarily focuses on preserving Hong Kong's unique iron mining heritage and natural environment. It also offers a space to serve the community, providing a place for mountaineers to connect, relax, and access safe climbing information, while promoting concepts such as "mining history and cultural conservation," "natural environment conservation," and "safe climbing culture."
