York Joint is a civil and green social enterprise that provides engineering and safety consultancy, design, and construction services in Hong Kong, with plans to expand globally. As a unique professional engineering firm registered in both HKSAR WSD, EMSD, and the CIC as a qualified Contractor and Social Enterprise in both HAD and HKCSS, York Joint aims to provide job opportunities for the betterment of underprivileged communities. In addition to our team of professional staff, we have recruited over 100 candidates from ex-offenders, ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities in Hong Kong, for the project of HKSAR Government, Disney Land, HK Land, and Gammon Construction, with contribution of 6.2 million in MPF.

In the light of ESG, SDG, and cross-sector collaboration, we partner with different parties in business and social sectors, to formulate projects via design thinking to tackle the pain points of society and industry. In 2018, targeted pain point of the shortage of labour in the Construction field and the unemployment rate in underprivileged groups, we launched "Project SORE - Inclusive Team on-site", offering ethnic minorities & ladies, ex-offenders, on-job training in construction field, partnered with The Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention and the HKSAR CSD. Now, with our successful field experience on our ethnic minorities and ladies qualified safety supervisor and skilled worker, “SALUS - 1st Person View AI Smart Site Safety System”, a Smart Site Safety System have been formulated to combat the site accident, to empowers the underprivileged group and to establish safety knowledge management system, partnered with CityU and Pong Yuen.
