PIE Strategy is a Hong Kong-based, mission-driven sustainability and impact advisory firm built on a simple belief: business can be a force for good. That belief shapes not only how we build our firm, but also how we work with partners to create lasting value for business, society and the environment.

We operate through a self-sustaining business model with both social and commercial objectives. Independent and purpose-led, we help organisations make sustainability, ESG and impact decision-useful, credible and actionable — so that business decisions, resources, governance and organisational practices can be directed towards better outcomes for people, communities and the environment.

PIE combines the rigour and strategic discipline of management consulting with sustainability and impact at the core. We work with corporations, non-profits, foundations, impact investors and public-interest organisations to move beyond awareness and intention: clarifying what matters, strengthening governance, building credible impact evidence and turning purpose into practical action.

Based in Hong Kong and working across Asia-Pacific, we bring deep private-sector experience together with a values-led approach, enabling us to bridge commercial realities with wider public-interest goals. Our co-founders also bring recognised expertise in sustainability strategy, impact measurement and management, sustainable finance and the SDG Impact Standards, including credentials and experience supporting the United Nations Development Programme’s research and capacity-building work on sustainable and inclusive development in Asia.

At PIE Strategy, we combine deep private-sector experience, technical depth and purpose-led judgement to help partners across Asia navigate uncertainty and turn sustainability, ESG and impact ambitions into sharper strategy, stronger governance, credible evidence and practical execution. Independent and purpose-led, our services are organised across three connected areas: Strategy and Impact Advisory, Technical Services, and Capacity Building and Communications. Together, they help organisations make sustainability, ESG and impact decision-useful, credible and actionable. Through Strategy and Impact Advisory, we work with boards, senior leaders and mission-led teams to embed sustainability and impact into strategy, governance, operations and resource allocation. We support the development of sustainability strategies, theories of change, impact frameworks, outcome indicators, implementation roadmaps, and impact measurement and management systems — helping clients manage for outcomes, not only report on activities. Through Technical Services, we help organisations build the evidence base for better decisions, including stakeholder engagement, double materiality assessment, greenhouse gas emissions accounting, science-based target-setting, nature dependencies and impacts analysis, environmental life-cycle assessment, social impact assessment, SROI analysis, impact due-diligence, and sustainability disclosure support. Through Capacity Building and Communications, we help clients bring sustainability to life for employees, partners, beneficiaries, investors and the wider public through training, stakeholder engagement, impact narratives, report writing and internal engagement programmes. We work with corporations, impact investors, non-profits, foundations, social enterprises and public-interest organisations. Across all services, PIE’s approach is research-driven, bespoke and purpose-led.
