Established in 1991, SCTAP was originally an elderly centre funded by the Social Welfare Department. providing community activities for the elderly. With the development of social welfare, SCTAP was transformed into a self-financed operating unit in 2003. The aim is to offer opportunities for continuous learning and development of skills to working or retired individuals, housewives, and people suffering from chronic pain.
Products and Services
The Salvation Army Senior Citizens Talent Advancement Project is a social enterprise under The Salvation Army Rehabilitation Services and Social Enterprise. It aims to create a nourishing social and learning platform for individuals aged 50 and above in the community. Through providing various activities, the program encourages senior individuals to actively engage in a vibrant and colorful life, willingly integrate into and contribute to society, pass on their experiences and wisdom and enjoy the brilliance of their golden years.
The project offers innovative courses tailored to the needs and trends of working individuals, retired persons, housewives, and people suffering from chronic pain. It provides comprehensive development in terms of health, interests, social connections, and financial planning which allows participants to embark on an exciting "second life" journey.
