Sharing Kitchen HK (SKHK) is operated by a registered charity, the Community Development Enhancement Fund Limited (CDEFL). CDEFL has long been committed to expanding grassroots employment and opportunity, from promoting legal street markets to launching SKHK. For the past 10 years, it has stayed true to its original mission.

Over the past seven years, SKHK has nurtured over a hundred sustainable food and beverage brands. It provides licensed food manufacturing facilities, resources, and training to assist welfare organizations, grassroots individuals, and those passionate about cooking to realize their dreams. Hundreds of micro-entrepreneurs (also known as home chefs) have greatly boosted their self-confidence, productivity, and work efficiency thanks to the support of SKHK.

Products and Services

Some of SKHK's home chefs are grassroots women and single mothers who had to give up their dreams to take care of their families, but their passion for cooking has never been extinguished. There are also grassroots unemployed individuals whose livelihoods were affected by the pandemic and economic downturn. Some participants are recovering patients or caregivers who have actively reintegrated into life with the support of SKHK; and there are also those who are taking a leap of faith to pursue their dreams. The threshold for grassroots entrepreneurship is extremely high, and they may have to risk operating illegally without a license. SKHK not only provides licensed food manufacturing facilities and equipment, but also regularly invites experts to guide the home chefs and encourage mutual help and community network building, supporting more dreamers.
