- The Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Programme
In order to promote social enterprises, the Association received funding from the Home Affairs Department's "Enhancing Self-Reliance Through District Partnership Programme" in January 2008 to open a "Leisure Outlet". The funding period expires in 2010. Our store operates on a self-financing basis and opened a Wah Fu Estate branch in January 2016. By recycling, renovating and selling second-hand goods, the two stores create job opportunities for the unemployed in the Southern District and promote social enterprises and development in the region.
Products and Services
The recycled items will be sorted, cleaned and sorted before being sold (such as household items, furnishings, accessories, clothes, toys, stationery, electrical appliances and CDs, etc.). The proceeds will be used as operating expenses, and some recycled items will also be donated to needy communities as needed.
