With regards to the pitfalls of present societal security schemes and blueprints, the social enterprise was founded in 2012 aiming to dedicate to the society. Targeted at the rising needs for beauty services of the grass-roots, the social enterprise department has set up its first branch in Cheung Shan Estate in Tsuen Wan. We have employed a wide range of minorities, including the hearing impaired, new immigrants, ethnic minorities, etc, while offering training and employment opportunities at the same time. This measure has ensured the minorities to reconcile with the society, and earn their living – which has been our major principle at the first place.
We believe the skill sets as a beautician can help toalleviate the pressure on current social security measures. Social security schemes are in majority aiding measures instead of tackling the root of the problem. Therefore, professional expertise is an alternative allowing them to make a living, and, relieving the pressure from social security schemes.

Products and Services

The social enterprise department aimed to offer job opportunities to the hearing-impaired. However, as the situation for other minorities is also impending, we have expanded our employment to other areas, but maintained our main focus on the hearing-impaired. we have cooperated with the Labour Department to employ the hearing-impaired. The Work Orientation and Placement Scheme has guaranteed us a reliable and high-quality source of forth-coming beauticians. We provide training and career prospects for these minorities. Also, we have been in touch with the Lutheran School for the Deaf to offer internship placements. In recent months, the department has been closely monitoring the situation of our interns. Other than providing training for facial and body treatments, we have also put much emphasis on their emotional feedback to make sure the workplace is up to their needs. Regular reviews are held to share in an open manner. Within the enterprise, we try our best to ensure the work place is a discrimination-free and disabled-friendly one.
